Brent oil price exceeds $130 per barrel

The price of Brent crude on Monday exceeded $130 per barrel, surpassing its 2012 peak of over $128. Prime media outlet reports with reference to trading data.

As of 2.28 a.m. Moscow time (5.28 a.m. Bishkek time – Note of 24.kg news agency), the price of May futures for Brent jumped by 9.35 percent to $129.06 per barrel. At the same time, April futures for WTI grew by 9.68 percent - up to $126.12.

The price of Brent crude reached about $130.3 per barrel as of 2.06 Moscow time (5.06 a.m. Bishkek time – Note of 24.kg news agency). The maximum price was at the level of $130.89.

The increase in world oil prices makes fuel more expensive in Kyrgyzstan. This is because the republic imports almost the entire volume of fuel and lubricants.
