«Our meeting is aimed at strengthening our integration processes in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union, ensuring the development of trade and economic cooperation, primarily in the interests of our citizens,» the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin said at a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov.
Mikhail Mishustin conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov from the Russian President Vladimir Putin and from himself personally.
«Western countries are trying to divide us, of course, but by our presence here we respond that we are together and continue the processes of Eurasian integration. Assessments of the current situation have been given in detail by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. This year is special for Russia and Kyrgyzstan. In March, the countries will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. I would like to emphasize that Russia especially values our strategic partnership with Kyrgyzstan,» Mikhail Mishustin said.
He noted that trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries is developing dynamically. At the end of last year, the trade turnover increased by 47 percent and reached $2.5 billion. The intergovernmental commission fulfils the priority tasks of expanding cooperation in all areas. A draft intergovernmental program of trade and economic cooperation for 2022-2026 is currently being prepared.
«Adoption of this program will help stimulate further growth in trade and our mutual investments. We have great prospects for further joint work in industry, mechanical engineering, and the radio-electronic industry. There is good potential in such areas as the digital economy, green energy, transport, and logistics,» the Prime Minister of Russia said.
I expect that comfortable conditions for work of investors will continue to be provided in Kyrgyzstan.

He stressed that as part of the joint fight against coronavirus, the parties also interact, vaccines and test kits are supplied.
«What is very important is to continue vaccination. Immunization, I am sure, will help to cope with this problem,» said Mikhail Mishustin.
The head of the government of the Russian Federation drew attention to the restoration of frequency of air traffic. To date, more than 170 flights a week are operated along 50 routes. He expressed confidence that the number of flights and routes would increase as soon as the epidemiological situation improves.
«Interaction is also improving in the humanitarian sphere. Almost 5,300 students from Kyrgyzstan study in Russia at the expense of the budget. Next year we will increase this quota by 500 places. We expect that the leadership of Kyrgyzstan will continue to be attentive to the use of the Russian language. We are working fruitfully in the Eurasian Economic Union and support the priorities of the Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship to deepen integration in the EAEU,» Mikhail Mishustin concluded.
