A portal for labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan was launched in the border region of Russia. One of its founders, Candidate of Historical Sciences Denis Denisov told 24.kg news agency.
A presentation of OrenMigrant Internet portal, created to help foreign workers from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, took place in the city of Orenburg on February 18.
The new portal includes information on the procedure for entering and staying in the Russian Federation, employment, opportunities for obtaining medical care and education, rules of conduct in Russian society, interaction with the police, responsibility for violation of the law, useful advice and contacts. The portal is launched in Russian, but later the information on the website will be translated into Kyrgyz, Tajik and Uzbek.
Roman Tsukanov, Deputy Minister of Regional and Information Policy of the Orenburg Oblast, considers it promising to develop a mobile application for migrants based on the website.
The head of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Orenburg Oblast of Russia, Taalaibek Zhandar uulu, advised to supplement the website with a news section with positive content about the life of migrants and their contribution to the development of Russia.
