According to the press service, 476,681 household visits have been made last year to detect children in difficult situations and to prevent child abuse. As a result, 5,412 children in difficult life situations were found. Situation of about 3,893 children was improved, and the work in relation to the rest continues. In addition, 79,805 children, whose parents are working outside the country, were identified. «Their relatives have been made aware of their responsibility for ensuring the rights of the children,» the ministry said.
At least 417 children subjected to abuse and violence were identified in 2021: 222 — to physical abuse, 118 — to sexual abuse and 77 — to psychological abuse.
«Children — victims of violence are provided with psychological, social and legal assistance. Some 864 children were placed under preliminary guardianship,» the ministry added.
