Judges of the Bishkek City Court found detention of a journalist Bolot Temirov lawful. Lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov reported on Facebook.
According to him, they did this, despite the fact that the investigator did not draw up a protocol of detention upon his delivery to the police.
«The presiding judge Esenaliev does not even know that the court’s decision is announced publicly,» the lawyer commented on the judge’s ban on video filming during the announcement of the decision.
Police officers accompanied by special forces soldiers came to Temirov Live office in Bishkek on January 22. They detained Bolot Temirov and took him to the capital’s Department of Internal Affairs.
Journalists associate the visit of the police officers with the professional activities of Temirov Live and the latest investigation into the fuel business of the family of the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.
