Additional 2.7 million soms have been allocated to the Republican Prosthetic Plant to improve the quality of production. Press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to its data, the day before, the head of ministry Kudaibergen Bazarbaev held a visiting meeting at the republican institution of prosthetic and orthopedic products, after which it was decided to allocate additional funds from the budget of the country.
The enterprise was built in 1942 by the decision of the Defense Council of the USSR to provide military men with prostheses during the Great Patriotic War. To date, it produces prostheses, orthopedic shoes, as well as bandages, corsets, reclinators, splints, crutches, canes, small-sized wheelchairs.
About 13,426 citizens, including 5,822 children, are currently registered with the plant in the republic.
