There is a threat that Kyrgyzstan will turn into a police state. MP Adakhan Madumarov said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, defense and security.
He reminded his colleagues that the adopted bills could turn against the deputies themselves.
«You are deputies today, and tomorrow you will be ordinary citizens whom no one will recognize and greet. These laws may work against you tomorrow, against the citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Here, in conclusion, they clearly wrote about the dangerous moments of the project. There is a threat of turning into a police state,» he said.
After the discussion, the deputies proposed the Parliament in the first reading to adopt the concept of the draft law on the National Security Bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and to hold a round table and a broader discussion of the draft law in the second reading.
