Head of Cabinet of Ministers examines experimental Belarusian bus

Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov got acquainted with the technical capabilities of the new Belarusian-made passenger bus. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev said that the bus has been designed to transport passengers on city routes. Its peculiarity is that it has a folding ramp for wheelchair access with a handle, a kneeling system to facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of passengers, as well as equipment for attaching an appropriate device for persons with disabilities.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers also visited the City Transport Department of the Bishkek City Hall, where he got acquainted with the state of the bus fleet. It was noted that there are 476 vehicles, while more than 300 buses are subject to write-off due to malfunction.

The head of the Cabinet noted that the citizens should be provided with comfortable and safe transport.

«Everything in the city should be made for the convenience of citizens. It is necessary to completely update the bus fleet, to repair all the inner streets of the city. Particular attention should be paid to the condition of pedestrian crossings and alleys. It is also necessary to speed up the construction of a waste sorting plant,» he stressed.

Akylbek Japarov also visited the Gareev Botanical Garden, where information about the activities of the Botanical Garden was presented, as well as current problems were voiced.
