«Today we can state with confidence the high level of relations between our states based on strategic partnership,» the President of Kyrgyzstan said, speaking at the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and China on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. According to Sadyr Japarov, the modern world order is undergoing a period of profound transformation and dictates the need to coordinate activities in matters of regional security and stability, strengthen cooperation in political, economic, trade and other important areas of life.
«China is making great efforts to strengthen regional security, provide all possible assistance to the socio-economic development of the Central Asian states, puts forward initiatives and promotes them for harmonious coexistence and a stable international environment,» he said.
It was noted that the complete settlement of border issues between the two countries and their legal formalization by 1996 and 1999 agreements have become a great achievement. To date, the interstate border is not a dividing line between Kyrgyzstan and China, but a bridge of good neighborliness and friendship between the two peoples.
«Development and strengthening of ties led our states to establishment of relations in 2013 on a completely new level. The joint declaration signed in 2019 on further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership testifies to the absence of any issues between the Kyrgyz Republic and the PRC that impede good neighborliness and friendship between our peoples. Since Kyrgyzstan gained independence, China has been providing comprehensive support and assistance to our republic,» the president added.
