Mini hydropower plant is being built for $1 million in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the office of Presidential Envoy to the region reported.
The hydropower plant will provide Kyshtut rural area with electricity. 20 workers are involved in the construction of the facility. Construction is expected to be completed by spring.
Construction of the mini hydropower plant began in September 2021. «It is financed by a private investor. As part of the project, he allocated more than $1 million,» Uchkunbek Zhorobaev, head of Batken district, said.
The Ministry of Energy plans construction of 48 mini hydropower plants.
