The President of Kyrgyzstan instructed to expedite implementation of the second stage of Safe City project at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, the number of road accidents is growing.
«Theft, robbery, drug addiction, traffic accidents and other indicators are at a high level in undeveloped countries. The situation is not so bad in our country. But there is enough to worry about. For 11 months of 2021, 780 people died in road accidents and more than 10,000 were injured. There are cases when whole families died. This is all due to the lack of culture and irresponsibility of drivers. The number of road accidents involving children increased by 43 percent. According to statistics, less traffic accidents are registered in places where Safe City cameras are installed. Therefore, I demand to speed up the launch of the second stage of the project,» Sadyr Japarov said.
