From December 29, 2021, migrant workers in Russia will receive patents in the form of cards with a chip containing an electronic image of the face and fingerprints of its holder. Russian media report.
According to them, it follows from the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, published on the portal of legal information.
«To approve the form of patent issued to a foreign citizen or stateless person arriving in the Russian Federation in a manner not requiring a visa, in the form of a card with an electronic carrier of information,» the document states.
Chip built into the card with contactless interface will contain all information specified in the patent, as well as biometric personal data of the holder — an electronic image of the face and prints of two fingers of hands of this person «suitable for identification».
In addition, the chip will contain the basic information about the employment history of its holder. The order will come into force on December 29.
