«I urge not to delay the introduction of the labeling process, because this issue will come up anyway,» Aziz Aaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, said at the roundtable discussion «Problems and prospects of development of Kyrgyzstan’s food industry.»
According to him, Kyrgyzstan’s EAEU partners are already actively promoting methods to regulate the quality of basic necessities. Kyrgyzstan will face the need to do the same sooner or later.
«If we want to export goods to the EAEU, we will have to accept the established rules. Labeling is one of the guarantors of product quality. The sooner businesses can use such means as labeling in their technologies, the sooner they will be able to ensure competitiveness in the EAEU markets,» Aziz Aaliyev said.
