Over the past month, the gross international reserves decreased by $202.8 million. At the same time, they still remain at a high level. Since the beginning of the year, the reserves have increased by $139 million, and compared to November 2020 — by $129.95 million.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Last year, it conducted 29 interventions, selling $467,150 million. In total, since the beginning of 2021, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted 14 interventions, selling $633 million.
