At least 20 villages of the republic have been provided with drinking water in 2021. Mirbek Akmataliev, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Utility Services, announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
«As of June 1, construction and rehabilitation of drinking water supply systems in 20 villages of the republic have been completed through international donors, the World Bank and other sources. Work has begun on launching the project to provide the settlements of the Kyrgyz Republic with drinking water and irrigation «Water Security and Water Quality» through the World Bank in the amount of $ 60 million,» he said.
He noted that construction and rehabilitation of drinking water supply systems in 645 villages of the republic are planned until 2024.
