Restrictions have been imposed on holding mass events on the occasion of Nooruz holiday in Bishkek. Press service of the City Hall of the capital reported.
According to the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the city, the number of registered cases of coronavirus infection and community-acquired pneumonia in the capital amounted to 2,551 from January to March 18, 2021.
The City Hall also took into account the facts of detection of new strains of COVID-19 (British strain, South African strain) in European countries, strengthening of quarantine measures in neighboring countries.
Given the unstable epidemiological situation, in order to prevent the spread of the disease caused by coronavirus infection, the City Emergency Anti-Epidemic and Anti-Epizootic Commission decided to refrain from holding mass events on occasion of Nooruz in the territory of Bishkek.
It is worth noting that the Healthcare Department registered an increase in the number of applications of parents of children with ARVI symptoms to the city’s Family Medicine Centers. They increased 1.5 times.
In this regard, the heads of district administrations were instructed to strengthen control over the observance of temporary sanitary and epidemiological rules and standards by business entities approved by the government decree on Additional measures to reduce the risks of the spread of coronavirus infection dated May 11, 2020 No. 244.
