Businessman Zhalil Atambayev was placed under house arrest. Law enforcement agencies informed 24.kg news agency.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek made such a decision.
«Earlier, investigators found out that Zhalil Atambayev, being a policeman, was engaged in entrepreneurial activity, bought real estate worth more than 100 million soms. He entered into a plea bargain and transferred 50 million soms to a deposit account. He must compensate the rest of the sum by the end of March,» law enforcement agencies said.
The State Committee for National Security opened several criminal cases against the former police officer, now businessman Zhalil Atambayev.
