Number of rare animals and birds in protected areas is increasing in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry reported.
Photographs were taken by camera traps installed on the territory of Chegetei-Too Public Association in Kumushtak mountain area of Talas district. This time, Alpine ibexes, a bear, a porcupine, partridges and rabbits, which lead an active lifestyle here, especially at night, have been captured. At least 16 camera traps have been installed across the entire territory of Chegetei-Too Public Association for tracking and accounting of wild animals.
«It used to be a big difficulty to find wild animals and a snow leopard. If the snow leopard was on the verge of extinction 15 years ago, we can proudly say today that it has returned,» the press service said.
Ecologists urge to take care of the environment, flora and fauna.
