Kyrgyzstan grants discount on transportation to increase export of potatoes

Shippers were granted 60 percent discount on tariffs and a 50 percent discount — on additional services on transportation of potatoes intended for export by rail. The decision was signed by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

The discounts will be reportedly valid until May 1, 2019. The decision was made to promote the export of agricultural products and provide state support to agricultural producers.

Based on the applications of shippers, Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state company should draw up a plan for sending potatoes intended for export, and take measures to ensure timely unloading of exported potatoes from wagons to ensure the timely supply of wagons for loading in the country.

At the same time, consignees and shippers are recommended to unload exported potatoes from wagons in a timely manner to ensure timely providing of wagons for loading.
