It is planned to revise all the regulatory legal acts concerning the activities of payment processors in the near future. The Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Tolkunbek Abdygulov told journalists.
According to him, the situation with Mobilnik LLC has shown that the control and the established protective mechanisms for guaranteeing payments in favor of third parties were not tight enough. The National Bank decided to revise them.
«The requirements will be tightened,» Tolkunbek Abdygulov summed up.
At the end of January, payment terminals of Mobilnik LLC began to malfunction. Because of this, Severelectro, Oshelectro and MegaCom refused its services. Later, Beeline, O!, Aknet Internet provider and Bishkekteploset reported about temporary refusal to work with Mobilnik LLC.
On February 6, the company management announced elimination of the technical malfunction. However, the system repeatedly failed. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic suspended the license of Mobilnik LLC.
