Kyrgyzstanis traveling abroad offered to insure their lives

The State Migration Service of Kyrgyzstan is working on the issue of compulsory insurance for Kyrgyz citizens traveling abroad. The head of the External Migration and Work with Diasporas Department Ulan Shamshiev told at a press conference.

According to preliminary data, the amount of insurance may reach 200,000 soms.

«There is a problem with the delivery of cargo 200 from abroad. Kyrgyzstan is the only republic in CIS that reimburses the cost of delivery of a body to homeland. To get compensation in the amount of 50,000 soms, one needs to submit only 3 documents: a death certificate, a passport and a document confirming the relationship,» said Ulan Shamshiev.

He added that the agency was studying the experience of other states. For example, in Malaysia, citizens traveling abroad must insure their lives.
