It is noted that the reason for the cancellation of the bus route was a ban on movement on the territory of Kazakhstan. Back in December 2018, carriers, at the request of the passengers, slightly changed the timetable. However, the Kazakh side sent a notice that it was illegal without agreement with them. The carriers prepared all the necessary papers and sent them to the authorities of Kazakhstan. But the answer has not yet been received.
«While there was no approval from the Kazakh side, the buses began to travel according to the old schedule. However, since January 25, Kazakhstan stopped passage of the scheduled buses. At the same time, there is no passage through the Kyrgyz border post in Chaldovar. The same situation is with the Uzbek side. One can travel only by Kazakh buses to the Kazakh-Uzbek border,» readers complained.
The information service of the Western Bus Station of Bishkek confirmed the information.
«There is no direct bus route Bishkek — Tashkent now. You can only travel along Zhibek-Zholy — Chernyaevka route. We do not know the reasons for the cancellation of the bus route. It seems the border is closed,» bus station representative said.
Recall, the direct bus route was opened in May 2018. It has not worked even for a year.
