Law enforcement officers detained activists protesting against Chinese expansion.
Representatives of Zheti Duban movement, who came to the protest, said that their associates were at a district police station. Protesters demand to release their supporters.
The organizer of the rally, Amanbol Babakulov, officially announced that he had been given permission to hold the rally until 1 pm.
However, those who came to the square are in no hurry to leave it, and noted that they would not go away until the authorities came out to them.
