Meeting of the Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov and his Kyrgyz counterpart Chingiz Aidarbekov took place in Moscow. The new Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan accepted the invitation of the Russian side to pay his first visit to Moscow.
Sergei Lavrov noted that he had good relations with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev. «I hope we will ensure continuity as our presidents demand. Recently, relations have reached a qualitatively new level. The presidents have already met four times a year, the heads of government met three times. We try to translate such intensity into the language of practical actions and implementation of specific projects. Our sectoral departments work closely together,» said the Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia.
In his turn, Chingiz Aidarbekov thanked his Russian counterpart for the invitation to visit Russia. «As you said, our presidents have already met several times. More meetings are planned along with high-level and top-level visits. We will discuss them,» he said.
