Kyrgyzstani charged with cattle rustling detained in Russia

A 33-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained in Chelyabinsk Oblast of Russia and extradited to his homeland for cattle rustling. Local media reported.

In 2014, the man stole 10 horses worth 500,000 rubles in Kara-Suu district of Osh region. The man acted as part of a group of persons and stole the animals from pasture, causing their owner significant material damage. After that, he was hiding in Russia.

«After an extradition check, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation decided to extradite the man to the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan in order to bring him to criminal liability. He can be sentenced to imprisonment for up to five years for the committed crime,» the message says.
