Inmates of five detention facilities in Naryn complained of torture and moral pressure. The press service of the ombudsman’s office reported.
So, four people complained that the law enforcement officers applied physical pressure and moral pressure to them during the detention and pre-investigation check.
«The employees of the ombudsman’s office visited the temporary detention facilities of Kochkor district, the police department of Naryn city, the police department of At-Bashy and Dzhumgal districts. Human rights activists checked the presence of injures on the bodies of the inmates of the temporary detention facilities. In addition, they checked use of various unapproved types of medical certificates, protocols and journal entries. Administrative detainees are examined only for alcohol and drug intoxication under protocol,» the ombudsman’s office said.
