An athlete from Osh Mamasaly Tashmatov participated in Absolute Moscow Marathon, which was held on September 23 in the Russian capital. The athlete himself told 24.kg news agency.
Mamasaly Tashmatov participated for the second time in the marathon race at a distance of 42 kilometers 195 meters. In rainy and cool weather, he finished with a result 4 hours 17 minutes 34 seconds, improving his first result by more than 40 minutes.
«I could not run out of four hours, but it is still ahead. I have to introduce adjustments to the training plan for the next marathons,» Mamasaly Tashmatov said.
The route ran along the central streets, boulevards and embankments of Moscow. Absolute Moscow Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
«Several thousand participants from more than 90 countries came to the start. The scale of the organization and the quality of the marathon were at the highest level. The atmosphere of unity, mutual support of the runners and the emotional state were breathtaking. It is impossible to express it in words,» the athlete said.
«It was very pleasant to meet an athlete from Bishkek and receive congratulations from a young man who ran the marathon, also from Bishkek, but currently living in Moscow, get greetings from strangers,» the athlete shared his impressions.
