Two trucks with fake Gucci and Chanel items from Kyrgyzstan were stopped on the Russian-Kazakh border in Omsk. Russian media reported.
Customs officers detained trucks with the clothes and footwear, having Gucci, Chanel, Reebok, Nike, Givenchy, Puma and Levi’s trademark, at Olkhovka checkpoint. Inspection detected signs of forgery of the light industry products — more than 3,000 items in general.
«According to the representatives of the owners of exclusive rights to intellectual property, the preliminary amount of damage exceeds 30 million rubles. The issue of initiating a criminal case on the facts of illegal use of trademarks is being resolved,» Omsk customs office informed.
