About 40 supporters of the former Bishkek mayor, Albek Ibraimov, who was arrested yesterday, gathered in Arashan village, Chui region.
The head of Alamudun district Altynbek Namazaliev addressed the people. He asked them to remain calm and act within the law.
«If you have any questions and complaints, you can submit them in writing. We live in a state of law. Of course, we hope for a fair decision. You can create a committee for protection from among the aksakals. But illegal actions will not lead to something good,» Altynbek Namazaliev said.
A fellow villager of Albek Ibraimov said that during the detention the security officials beat up the guards. According to her, the victims can not walk because of the injuries.
