«The situation around Bishkek Heating and Power Plant is a strictly private matter of Kyrgyzstan, which will not affect bilateral relations with China,» the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Daniyar Sydykov, told reporters.
According to him, today’s discussion of certain situations at the HPP is an internal matter of the republic. There is a decision that modernization was necessary. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the reasons of the breakdown.
The Prosecutor General’s Office opened four criminal cases, two — on the breakdown at Bishkek HPP and two — on modernization. There is also a fifth case related to the construction of a school using the funds of TBEA company. They are being investigated by the State Committee for National Security.
