Bishkek residents and guests of the capital are invited to take part in the international campaign «Victory Waltz,» which will take place in Bishkek on May 9. The organizer is the Eurasians-New Wave Foundation.
«A large-scale and spectacular event, dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will be held on May 9 in Bishkek. On the memorable day, hundreds of couples will dance waltz on the Victory Square,» the foundation said.
The students of 15 universities, schoolchildren, dance groups, public figures and deputies of the Bishkek City Council confirmed their participation in the campaign.
The fund noted that «Victory Waltz» campaign is held for patriotic education of youth and the preservation of historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. The annual holding of the campaign is a tribute to the memory of our fathers and grandfathers and one more way to express gratitude for the Great Victory.
«The dress rehearsal will take place on May 3 at 3 pm on Victory Square (near the Eternal Flame),» the organizers said.
