«Domestic carriers are vulnerable among the Kazakh and Belarusian cargo companies. They have already seized half of the market,» Temirbek Shabdanaliev, chairman of the Association of Carriers of Kyrgyzstan, said today at a meeting of the Business Development and Investment Council.
According to him, the state policy in the last 10-15 years was the development of individual entrepreneurship. This system also developed in the field of cargo transportation.
«A man has one car. He is the driver, and the director. He has no support. He is defenseless against large Kazakh and Belarusian companies. We must take measures, carry out research. It is necessary to encourage transport companies — legal entities. We have about 120 truck operator companies, but they are all semi-legal,» Temirbek Shabdanaliev said.
