Denunciation of agreement with Kazakhstan put on agenda of parliament session

The denunciation of the agreement with Kazakhstan on assistance to Kyrgyzstan within the Eurasian Economic Union was put on the agenda of the parliament session. The decision was made today by the deputies of the Parliament.

The initiative to put the issue on the agenda came from a government representative. This week, denunciation of the agreement was considered in committees.

Under the agreement, the Kazakh side was supposed to render assistance equivalent to $ 100 million in order to facilitate the integration of Kyrgyzstan into the Eurasian Economic Union.

The first tranche of $ 41 million was to be received last week.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan stated that «had not received official information from the Kyrgyz side.»

The day before, two heads of government held talks in Yerevan (Armenia). However, they have not agreed on a road map. Sapar Isakov and Bakytzhan Sagintayev will continue the talks today. The meeting of the Prime Ministers of EEU countries takes place in Yerevan.
