Rail cargo traffic launched between Ganzhou and Kazakhstan

The first freight train Ganzhou — Kazakhstan set off on the route China-Europe on July 27. Its arrival in Kazakhstan is expected in 12 days, Xinhua news agency reported.

It is reported that the train carries 100 containers of furniture, clothing and electronic goods.

Currently, three freight railway routes to Central Asia — Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan — have been opened from Ganzhou.

It is noted that in the near future, there will be also opened rail cargo traffic to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Being an important hub for railways, roads and shipping transportation, Ganzhou city is striving to become an international cargo distribution center for countries and areas for the Belt and Road.
