Muftiyat determines size of sadaqa al-fitr

The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has determined the size of sadaqa al-fitr for 2017. Muftiyat informed 24.kg news agency.

As noted, giving of sadaqa al-fitr is an obligatory rule for every wealthy man.

The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has established for believers of the country the following order of giving sadaqa al-fitr, its collection and use according to the Shariah:

As SDMK explained, every person has the right to give sadaqa al-fitr for any of the above mentioned prices. To provide greater support to those in need, it is better to give them at a higher price.

One person gives sadaqa al-fitr of 1,600 kg (wheat, flour, raisins) or 3,200 kg (barley, persimmon) or their monetary equivalent.

Due to price instability, SDMK asks to draw the attention of believers to how much 1,600 kg (wheat, flour, raisins) or 3,200 kg (barley, persimmon) will cost when giving sadaqa al-fitr.
