UN ready to support One Belt, One Road initiative

The UN is ready to support the initiative of China to implement the project One Belt, One Road, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres said yesterday at the forum in Beijing.

According to him, One Belt, One Road initiative creates new channels for both the movement of goods and the dialogue between countries. The initiative shares the UN’s vision for world development. At the same time, the Secretary-General noted the growing importance of China's involvement in world processes.

«Now the involvement of China is particularly important. Our world has become almost bipolar. But this doesn’t guarantee stability. A multipolar world requires multilateral cooperation, management of many countries in order to share opportunities. The UN is ready to support One Belt, One Road and help China to meet its obligations under the project," Antonio Guterres stressed.
