Kyrgyzstan prays for cessation of natural disasters

The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan in connection with the natural cataclysms that have become more frequent in the region issued an order to pray for their cessation.

As the press service of SDMK reported, on May 5 all mosques of Kyrgyzstan offered up a prayer with the request to protect people from landslides, earthquakes and other cataclysms. The believers also wished the republic peace and prosperity.

It was noted that the order obliges kazy of all regions, cities and districts, as well as imams of mosques, to organize a collective prayer throughout the republic.

On April 29, a landslide descended in Uzgen district of Osh region of Kyrgyzstan after long rainfalls. It covered 7 houses with 24 people inside. All of them died. An earthquake occurred near the Kyrgyz-Tajik border on May 3.
