Detained in the Moscow region Abror Azimov admited his guilt in organizing a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg metro, his lawyer Armen Zadoyan told journalists in Basmanny court on Tuesday, Russian media reported.

According to him, the court will begin a hearing on the arrest of Azimov.

Abror Azimov is from Jalal-Abad region. Now his place of birth and citizenship is being established.

According to preliminary information, Abror Azimov, who was contacted by Akbarzhon Jalilov before committing explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg, is a Russian citizen.

 FSB reported about the arrest of the organizer of the explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg on Monday, April 17. According to it, Abror Azimov was born in 1990 and is from Central Asia. He was detained in Odintsovo district near Moscow.

Explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg occurred on the afternoon of April 3. Victims of the terrorist attack were 15 people, including a suicide bomber. Several dozen people were injured. Another explosive device was found at Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station. It was defused.
