FSB publishes video of arrest of organizer of explosion in St. Petersburg metro

Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia published a video that shows the moment of arrest of the organizer of the terrorist act in the metro of St. Petersburg. The video was provided by the FSB’s public relations center, RBK reported.

The video shows the employees with stripes of «FSB» on their jackets getting out of the car and running after a man between the bushes. Then the man lies on the ground. He is asked: «Surname, name?» The man lying on the ground answers: «Azimov, Abror.»

After the man is asked: «Do you know why you are detained?»  The suspect answers: «Yes." During the search of the detainee one found a gun, similar to the Makarov pistol. It was half filled with shotshell. During the inspection of the pistol, FSB officers declare: «Combat shotgun." They also found a package, and in it — a mobile phone and wires.

 FSB reported on Monday, April 17 on the arrest of an organizer of the explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg. According to FSB, his name is Abror Azimov. He was detained in Odintsovo district near Moscow. According to the intelligence service, Azimov was born in 1990 and is from Central Asia.

Explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg occurred on the afternoon of April 3. Victims of the terrorist attack were 15 people, including a suicide bomber. Several dozen people were injured. Another explosive device was found at the metro station Ploshchad Vosstaniya. It was defused.
