A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic between Temirbek Erkinov, Deputy Minister of Health, and Altamash Wazir Khan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the ministry’s press center, during the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation in healthcare and medical education.
Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of medical education for Pakistani students studying at medical educational institutions in the country.
The parties noted the importance of strengthening academic collaboration, improving educational standards, and expanding practical training for students.
The parties also discussed prospects for developing direct cooperation between medical universities and healthcare institutions in the two countries, including the exchange of experience between faculty and physicians and the organization of joint scientific events.
Following the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in further developing bilateral cooperation in medical education and healthcare.
