Nearly 10,000 packs of tobacco products seized in Manas

Tobacco products without excise stamps were seized at the central market in Manas, the Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, a total of 9,695 packs of tobacco products without excise stamps, worth a total of 1,163,400 soms, were seized, along with 24 packages of illegal e-cigarettes and 33 jars of a substance similar to snus.

All materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for legal review.

The State Tax Service noted that selling up to 200 units of excisable products without excise stamps carries a fine of 100,000 soms, while selling more than 200 units carries a criminal penalty of up to seven years in prison.
