The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) revealed a corruption scheme in determining the disability group in the medical and social expert commission (MSEC) under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic. The press service of the ministry reported.
According to it, members of the Leilek inter-district MSEС were engaged in systematic extortion of money from people with disabilities for determining their disability group.
«Supporting materials on the systematic receipt of money from 3,000 to 5,000 soms by the Chairman of the Commission, the expert doctor A.Dzh.A. and the expert doctor E.U.B. of the Leilek inter-district MSEC from citizens with disabilities for determining their disability group have been received,» the statement says.
The said persons have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
