President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan from November 11 to November 13 to participate in the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Muratbek Azymbakiyev, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, reported.
«On November 12, in Baku, the head of state will take part in the opening ceremony of the Climate Summit and speak at the plenary session. Sadyr Japarov, Presidents of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and Nepal Ram Chandra Poudel, heads of other delegations and international organizations will make speeches at the event «High-level Dialogue: Advancing the Mountain Agenda and Mainstreaming Mountains and Climate Change», organized by Kyrgyzstan jointly with Azerbaijan and Mongolia on the sidelines of COP29 of the UNFCCC. The event will take place on November 13.
Bilateral meetings of the head of state are planned on the sidelines of the COP29 UNFCCC. More than 100 heads of state and government, 150 delegations from around the world will take part in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change,» Muratbek Azymbakiev noted.
This year, for the first time, during the conference from November 13 to November 21, a colorful national pavilion of Kyrgyzstan will be set up under the general theme «Kyrgyzstan: Sustainable Mountain Development». The pavilion will host daily presentations with the participation of ministries and departments of the country on current issues of the climate agenda, energy, trade and economic, tourism and investment potential of Kyrgyzstan, as well as cultural events and exhibitions of national mountain products, such as honey, dried fruits, national drinks, etc., which can also be tasted.
