Bishkek Mayor shows his air rifle shooting skills

A grand opening of a renovated hall for the shooting department was held at the Dzhumanazarov Sports School with the participation of Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev. The municipality’s press service reported.

The mayor got acquainted with the new building and training conditions, and also fired the first shot, following the coach’s instructions.

At the end of the event, the athletes demonstrated their shooting skills.

The City Hall terminated the lease agreement for municipal property with private individuals and reconstructed the hall for the shooting department. This Specialized School of Olympic Reserve has had a shooting department since November 2022, where more than 60 young athletes train under the guidance of three coaches, the municipality noted.

During this time, the school’s students have achieved significant success: Aruuke Talantbekova fulfilled the standard of master of sports of international class and rose from 95th to 67th place in the international ranking, and Kanykei Kubanychbekova fulfilled the standard of master of sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
