The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek issued a decision to arrest Deputy Prosecutor of Bishkek Edilbek Ydyrys uulu and Deputy Head of the Department of the capital’s prosecutor’s office Abdyrashid Dzhamnkeev.
It is known that the court considered the investigator’s petition the day before and granted it, deciding to take both suspects into custody. They will be under arrest and held in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until December 14.
Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Prosecutor of the capital, through an intermediary, extorted $5,000 from Vice Mayor of Bishkek Ramiz Aliev for stopping inspections at Tazalyk municipal enterprise. The latter applied to the State Committee for National Security with a statement, and the prosecutor was caught red-handed while taking the money.
The building of the capital’s prosecutor’s office was searched on October 18.
