2026 World Cup qualifiers: Kyrgyzstan’s team defeats North Korea

The team of Kyrgyzstan won its first victory at the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, defeating the DPRK team with a score 1:0.

The match of the 4th round of the qualifiers took place on October 15 at the Dolon Omurzakov stadium in Bishkek. Defender Khristiyan Brauzman scored the only goal in the game in the 11th minute.

This victory brought the Kyrgyzstan team its first three points in the 3rd round of the qualification and allowed it to rise to 5^th place in Group A. The DPRK team, having scored two points, dropped to 6th place. Group A also includes such strong teams as Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan and the UAE.

The Kyrgyzstan’s team completed the first round of the tournament by victory over DPRK. The team has six more matches ahead, the next of which will take place on November 14 in Abu Dhabi, where Kyrgyzstanis will play against the UAE team.
