The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan together with the TV channel Bilim Zhana Ilim presents a new project that will help learn the Kyrgyz language through gestures and the dactylic alphabet.
As the press service of the ministry reported, the project is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national education system and the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the law on the state language. It will expand the access of people with disabilities to education in the Kyrgyz language.
The Ministry of Education noted that the dactylic alphabet is an auxiliary system of sign language, in which each gesture corresponds to a letter. Regular gestures can denote a concept or a complex of concepts.
The first «lessons» are already broadcast on Bilim Zhana Ilim TV channel. TV programs are also available on YouTube. Links are posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
