Delegates of the People’s Kurultai ask to create a National Council and appoint its chairman and deputies. The head of the secretariat of the People’s Kurultai, Myktybek Abdyldaev, announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
He presented to the deputies a draft law on amendments to the constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic «On the People’s Kurultai».
Myktybek Abdyldaev noted that the constitutional Law «On the People’s Kurultai» states that the National Council of the People’s Kurultai develops a regulation on the procedure for electing delegates, regulations governing the organization and makes a proposal to the president to hold a people’s assembly. The National Council consists of 17 members elected from among the delegates of the People’s Kurultai.
«But there is no National Council now. Therefore, the question arose who will perform the duties specified in the Law «On the People’s Kurultai,» Myktybek Abdyldaev said.
The President of Kyrgyzstan set the date for the 3rd People’s Kurultai. It will be held in Bishkek on December 20, 2024.
