The active phase of the command and staff exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces Interaction-2024, special exercises Search-2024 and Echelon-2024 has been completed. The Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the legend of the exercises, the conditional enemy has established control over part of the territory in the border area, seized a number of settlements. In the shortest possible time military contingents of the CSTO member states were redeployed to the conditional zone of the militants’ invasion. The main task of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces is to conduct a joint operation to resolve the armed conflict in the Central Asian region.
Thanks to the active and coordinated actions of the units of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, the enemy was destroyed and control over the state border was restored.
As part of the active phase of the exercises, the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces practically worked out the following issues:
- Conducting combat and special operations by the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces’ units;
- Landing of tactical air (sea) assault forces to complete the defeat of the enemy;
- Covering troops from enemy air strikes;
- Eliminating the consequences that arose during combat operations.
Particular attention during the exercises was paid to the use of unmanned aircraft and counteraction to them, as well as to the joint use of electronic warfare and fire destruction means.
A special feature of the exercises at the Edelweiss training ground was the involvement of air defense forces and means of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the allocated composition of the Joint Air Defense System of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Under the leadership of the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Artur Temirov, command and staff exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces Interaction-2024, a special exercise with reconnaissance forces and means Search-2024, a special exercise with logistics forces and means Echelon-2024 were held.
Contingents of troops from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan participated in the exercises. In total, about 1,500 servicemen and up to 300 units of weapons, military and special equipment, including aviation, various types of UAVs, combat boats, as well as air defense systems, were involved.
