Agreements have been reached this year on demonstrating the capabilities of modern weapons and military-technical equipment developed by Russian defense industry enterprises in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrei Serdyukov announced at a briefing.
According to him, demonstration of new weapons and military equipment of the organization’s member states will also be organized.
Andrei Serdyukov also added that the main event of operational and combat training of troops are the command and staff exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces Interaction-2024 held in the Kyrgyz Republic in the first half of September. The special exercises will be held with Search-2024 reconnaissance and Echelon-2024 logistics forces and means.
Representatives of countries that are not members of the CSTO have been invited to the exercises in the Kyrgyz Republic as observers: the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People’s Republic of China, Mongolia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the UN Secretariat, the SCO Secretariat, the Executive Committee and the Anti-Terrorism Center of CIS.
